Prague-based BABYLON ROCKER blends an intriguing mix of moombahton, tropical bass, reggae, hiphop, funk & dubstep. But Jamaican dancehall & reggae are his main inspiration.
As a selector, radio DJ, band member, backing DJ, remixer & promoter he has been promoting reggae & dancehall music wherever possible, organising the first reggae clashes and music competitions in the Czech Republic. Later he founded PRAGGATRONIK crew & was throwing parties & inviting selectors from Czech & other countries. He has been promoter of events like the national 45Clash, Mic Style Contest and Dancehall Queen contest and he participated in organising parties & festivals like the annual Reggaemeeting festival, R.E.S. Žízníkov, Real Beat festival or Let It Roll.
From later 2010 Babylon Rocker focuses more & more on moombahton, new dancehall & latino influenced 108bpm sound. He starts to create his own moombahton remixes, cooperating with producer Chong X. Up till now, he has released over 15 mixes, including dancehall, moombahton, dubstep & tropical bass.
…and he keeps on keepin’ it rockin’!
